TeamSeagrass at the Festival of Biodiversity (26-27 May 2012)

The Team was busy at the Marine Exhibition during the Festival of Biodiversity last weekend.
We are fortunate to have Sankar to share about our seagrasses and the work of TeamSeagrass with the President, who graced the event.

Sankar also spoke with Minister of State Tan Chuan Jin who came with the President.

In fact, Sankar worked tirelessly at the seagrass station for two straight days!
Siti gave the seagrass tank a good run for the hordes of kids that came on Sunday.
Many other Team members also turned up to share the passion for our seagrasses!
Thanks to Siti and other volunteers, we gathered the seagrasses and live marine creatures a few days earlier from Chek Jawa and Cyrene Reef. The tank sure looked lovely once everything settled down. The visitors are amazed to learn that Singapore has so many different kinds of seagrasses and such lovely meadows.
This effort supports the awesome Marine Exhibition. It is not only colourful and attractive with lots of photos and information, it also has lots of interactive features!
Of course, the exhibition also features our seagrass meadows!

Jeremy from TeamSeagrass also took photos of the entire event! Check out his photos on facebook of Day 1 and Day 2 of the event.

Thanks to everyone from TeamSeagrass for helping to make this event a success!

The Marine Exhibition was manned by volunteers from these marine groups! Together, we do lots of walks and other activities to explore, document and protect our shores. Check them out!
